Birmingham Made Me – Coco’s Closet shop opening

First off, an apology for not posting much lately. Now to tell you why. As you may know, I have an online shop called Coco’s Closet. Thanks to an initiative at Birmingham City University and Idea Birmingham, I’m going to be part of something called Birmingham Made Me. As well as an exhibition that will be taking place on 15-22nd June 2012, there will be a shop opening this week called Birmingham Made Me in The Mailbox, Birmingham.

I’m really excited to have been selected to be part of this and excited to get going! Although we’ve been meeting for the last two months, the last two weeks have been crazy busy and the shop is now nearly ready to open. I thought I’d treat you to a few pictures of my area, and there will be nine other traders in the unit.

The shop will be open Wednesday 11-6pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11-7pm and Sunday 11-5pm. It’s located on the ground floor, opposite Shogun Teppan-yaki in what was used as the Zumba unit. Although the shop should be open until Christmas, I’ll be there until the end of June if not longer.

If you’re in the Birmingham/West Midlands area, it would be wonderful if you popped in! The Mailbox has some fantastic high end shops including Harvey Nichols, Hugo Boss, L.K.Bennett, All Saints, Emporio Armani and more so it’s well worth a visit.

Some of the items on sale include vintage handmade jewellery, vintage handbags, teacup candles, vintage designer handbags including Gucci and Dior, modern designer items and more!

Ms Coco’s Bicester Village haul

Hi all! So I decided it was about time to write a proper blog for you all and what better way to start than with a post on one of my favourite haunts. Ever been to Bicester Village? I managed to squeeze in a trip on the first Bank Holiday weekend and got a few pieces.

First off is this cute pastel blue Cath Kidston button box for about £3.50 and pink polka dot cosmetic bag for £6 instead of £12.

Then there’s the main event, these shocking pink patent Shilo courts from L.K.Bennett. Love them and they were reduced from about £150 down to £75,

I also got a Jack Wills navy and white Portsea dress from £59 to £34 I think?!

Anyway, let me know what else you want to hear from me about and I’ll see what I can do! I will try and get these pictures sorted too, sorry guys!
